You learn something new everyday...

Read some of the old posts... wow.. came a long way.. and many thanks to J for sharing in some of them..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'You learn something new everyday.'
That was a phrase which we hear all the time. We never seem to give it much thought and just live on as usual. Sometimes, it does take certain events to make us realise it. Shall not elaborate further.
Was sprung a surprise on sat morning. A heated argument on msn which makes no sense. Not bothered as no point talking abt the past anymore. Besides, what to expect when you chat on msn? You never know who you really are talking to. Happened once before, might had happen once again.
Never knew I got the chance to talk to a multi-millionaire today!~ Thing is he drove up to my place for coffee with P, whom I knew since last year. The successful businessman is the one who came up with the 'Super' brand. The person who invented all the 3-in-1 coffee, cappuccinos, tea,...etc... In my house! It was a big surprise indeed. Cause I had no idea who the guy was when he entered my place. I thought he was just someone on a holiday to visit my friend, P. It was only when I was chatting with P then I was told that its visitor who owns the Super company. Wah kao~
Had a half an hour chat with him and boy,... it was really an eye-opener! To know how he did it and what he actually does really spurs me on now. It was very much like an interview and really take my hat off that guy. Best part of it, there's no air in his behaviour. To be honest, I would have no idea who he is if P did not tell me. Wow. He had just renewed my faith in myself and taught me a couple lessons of life.
In summary:
2 days.
2 different style.
2 major differences.
2 lessons learnt.
Now, time to have dinner, catch some TV and back to books... damn it.. body still aching..
Bernie's BBQ
Day after my birthday, was invited to Bernie's place for BBQ. It was a feast man~! First time in Aust having the normal charcoal BBQ. So singapore style~! Even with satay and peanut sauce, honey marinated chicken wings. Sambal fish, sotong and even scallops~! Then there was the steak. Guests brought drinks, salad and fruits. We had food for about 25 people but we only have 15! We were full man~! Then just sit around and chat til past 12. It was a very enjoyable evening~! Much kudos to the pastry chef, Bernie~
Me with the food..
Turning 23.
I just turned 23 yesterday. Yes, on Good Friday, start of a long weekend and one-week break from Uni. Honestly, I was abit apprehensive abt celebrating my own birthday and so much headache recently, I certainly have not much mood to celebrate. The thoughts of most memories gone was a huge blow. Therefore I wasn't expecting much when I think of how to celebrate birthday today. Many thanks to those who sent me their wishes, thank you!
However, I was surprised when I visited Matt on Thurs, 20 Mar. I was passing him the soundtrack of Hairspray and he was giving me the songs from the musical, BeautyWorld. He baked quiche and gave me a slice. Then while I was doing the dishes, he sneaked out a small cute blueberry cheesecake. On top of the cake stands a single lighted candle. Boy was I surprised. I am thankful for such a wonderful friend.
The quiche with half my cake. Given half to Matt. Share the joy.
Then as my lessons ends at 8pm, I reached home at arnd 8.30 to have dinner. Bernard brought us dinner. I had salted fish fried rice, then started studying. Little did I know that both Bernard and Eziq were busy planning a stripper to come to our place. I was in the living room studying while those 2 were planning in a room. I went to look for them after 90 mins of study and they looked sad. Apparently they called a couple strippers and was told that they are clsoed for business for that night as Good Friday is the next day. Hahaha.
Those 2 took out a bottle of Chivas and Solo and start mixing drinks. I drank quite abit and was abit woozy. They put me to bed. Then I slept til next day with no hangover. Yay~!
My actual day was tiring. Lunch was at some gathering, having local food with Eziq's friends. Dinner was at Sagano. They offered to treat. Beef Sukiyaki. Yummy~! Hahaha.. Food was good. Eat until damn full!
Eziq on my left and Bernard on my right.
Drinks at Surfers then they go to a strip club since there were no strippers last nite. Stayed there for awhile before we leave for home. Tired.
Damn blessed to have those 2 friends. They were funny and very nice to think of such ideas. One birthday that was unexpected indeed~!
Things
Last Tues burglary is the worst day of my life, if not, one of the worst.
I lost alot of things compared to Eziq.
1. HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop (S$3000)
2. Cannon Digital Ixus 60 (S$500)
3. 160 GB Seagate FreeAgent Hard-disk (S$160- gift from grandma)
4. 80 GB Toshiba Hard-disk (S$100)
5. Samsung Bluetooth set (tog with handphone)
6. 2 x 1GB SD memory cards. (tog with camera)
7. Swatch watch (gift from a friend)
Argh... all these items... more than half of them contain items or are items that has alot of memories. My laptop and hard-disks contained memories spanning 1o over years and most got no other back-ups other than the hard-disks themselves. Photos and videos in the hard-disks...
gifts like the Seiko watch had accompanied me for more than 3 years.. the Seagate FreeAgent was a Christmas gift from grandma. Argh.. its simply too heart-breaking for me to continue listing..
Now, can only think of things I need to get to replace them.
1. Cannon Digital Ixus..
2. Dress watch..
Sigh.. But no matter what, I think i have to wait til I come back to Singapore to get them. Year end when i come back, need to get the photos from friends and family. Shit man.. no dress watch for dinners.. no camera to record memories..
What a joke, birthday so soon and with so much things on my mind like items to get replaced and need to find a way to get the money as well. Worked my ass off just to be able to afford the camera last time. Now losing it is damn heart-breaking la. Shit man. Dunno how long it will take me to get my things back. Sigh. if i have a birthday wish-list, will certainly hope to have those 2 items back. but that seems far-fetch as its like wishing Santa Claus will drop me gifts for Christmas.
Feeling damn fucked up all over again...
First Day.
Today, school starts. Had 3 hour lecture. It was tiring. Very tiring. It was bad enough that the topics that am learning is a tough topic. What's worse is that we were told by our lecturers today that the second year is the toughest year among all 3 years of Uni we will be having. And we were told that we will be needing all sorts of support we can get. Sigh. Seems like tough challenge ahead. Hope I can get through without much trouble man.
